Roger CPA Review has launched its 2017 course materials to prepare CPA candidates for the new, more challenging CPA Exam. Over the past two years Roger CPA Review has invested more than $4.5 million in Research and Development for products and services.

The CPA Exam will start testing students at a more advanced critical thinking skill level on April 1, 2017. In order to align with the changes, Roger CPA Review is evolving its entire Interactive Practice Question (IPQ) bank, vetting all questions to ensure it collectively covers the tasks laid out in the AICPA’s new CPA Exam Blueprints, and reformatting their CPA Exam Simulator to follow the new five testlet structure. In addition, Roger CPA Review’s course curriculum will include guided, specialized lessons that work through sample complex Task-Based Simulations (TBSs), such as the new Document Review Simulations (DRS), to help students build a foundation and learn how to best approach higher-order skill problems.

“Critical thinking skills are increasingly required in the daily tasks of entry level employees at accounting firms,” says Rob Dewey, Director of Product Development at Roger CPA Review. “Our goal in providing expert guidance and training for higher-order thinking skills isn’t only to get students to pass the new exam, but to lay the groundwork for them to be successful at the beginning of their careers.”

With the new exam officially starting in April, there is still time to take uncompleted sections of the current exam. In order to ensure students have flexibility and options, Roger CPA Review is offering its new and current students a choice between the 2016 or 2017 course materials for each of their exam sections through March 10, 2017.
